Our Story

A family business, from the ground up.

What began nearly four decades ago has grown into a true family operation.

New View began in 1989 with a belief that a property could be more than what was immediately in plain view. From the beginning, our work has been about seeing the bigger picture, finding the potential in a landscape, and having the skill and experience to see that vision through.

As the business grew, we expanded into new ground with a tree farm in central Massachusetts and turned a house on Route 495 into our very own nursery, growing much of the material we still use today. Over time, New View grew into a true family business. Today, Doug and Ryan work side by side across design and construction, while Eric oversees our farm, greenhouses, and nursery in Hopkinton, and Karen supports on the administrative side. Together with our crews, we bring various parts of the business under one family and one shared standard of work.

That connection carries through to every project we take on. Many of the trees and plants we use are grown at our own nursery. Clients can walk the grounds with us, hand-select and tag trees for their property, and know exactly where the materials shaping their landscape came from. From those early selections through construction and the final details, our family remains personally involved at every stage.

Nearly four decades later, New View continues to grow, but we’ve remained independently owned by choice. It allows us to stay personally invested in the people, materials, and decisions behind every project, and to keep building landscapes with the same pride of ownership that has defined our family business since its inception.
